I've been on a Space Invaders kick this weekend, I cut some little stencils which I used for a batch of ATCs. A larger scale invasion is planned for later in the week.
I discovered Porous Walker in the Jan issue of Juxtapoz, his work is thought provoking and hilarious in equal measures. His "Titface Becky" drawing made me laugh like a drain. Check out his website www.porouswalker.com/ for yourself, you won't be disappointed. He recently invited people to submit their address in return for a letter from Ronald McDonald. Genius, how could I refuse! My letter (he actually sent out 501) came with a completely pulverised french fry.
This is a mash up of Frankenstein's Monsters head on Paul Simonon from The Clash's body. It combines my love of punk rock and monsters, the stencilled image behind is an internal view of Trellick Tower (a West London tower block). This was my first painting to be accepted into an art show. Acrylic paints, spray can and markers. 20" x 40"
If you find some music here you like, go out and buy it, try a record shop first, preferably an independent, if you can't be bothered to get off your arse and shop, do it online.
I am always keen to trade art, if you see something you like, get in touch and see if we can work out a swap of some kind.
